What They Say & What They Hear

I just had to share these little things with everyone. After a VERY long drive home from work (1.5 hours), today, Ryan and I were a little stressed-out to say the least! We were 15 minutes late picking-up the Kids from Daycare which made it all the worse. Well, things soon became very light-hearted in the car...from the mouthes of babes!!

What They Say
Setting: We are driving home from Daycare, and I called a meeting. (Ryan does this frequently when he wants to give the Girls instructions.) I instructed them to hang-up their coats and sit down at the dinner table when they got home.
What Abi Said: Daddy, we like Mommy's meetings better than yours.

Setting: We are still driving home from Daycare (and still chuckling about what Abi just said).
What Abi Said: I eat my boogers, and they taste good.
What Lucy Said: Me too, mmmmm!!!


What They Hear
Setting: We are sitting at dinner, and Ryan is talking about a news conference tomorrow morning concerning the IRL and Champ car merger. Kiddingly, he stated that they would watch it at school if it was going to be televised.

What Ryan Said: It will be as exciting as when we watched them name the new Pope. (a little sarcastically)

What Lucy Heard: We are going to watch Winnie the Pooh.

I'm sure the Pope would be thrilled to hear himself substituted by Winnie the Pooh during this Lenten Season.
