Day 2: 1/2 of Magic Kingdom

Man is this park big! The trip has started out wonderful, and the lines thankfully have not been too bad. I do not think that we have spent longer than 20 minutes in any line and have used our FastPass options wisely. Here is a little summary of our day at the park. We started at about 10:30 am at the park and went straight to Tomorrowland, headed to Fantasyland and hit some of Toontown. We left for a little while to go to our character dinner at the Grand Floridian. Then, we were right back at the park to finish the night. Our goal was to make it to 10pm to see the fireworks, but we came up just short of that goal when Abi announced on Pirates of the Carribean that she peed her pants. This was our second trip on the ride, and I guess she just got too excited and forgot that she needed to go. She was very upset and embarrassed, so we decided to call it a night. Thank goodness for the extra set of shorts we put in for Lucy.
Here are just a few of the highlights: The Monsters Inc. Laugh Factory, Carousel of Progress (guess the classics are still popular with our kids), pictures with Buzz Lightyear and Stitch, Indy Car ride (Lucy is a crazy driver), Mad Hatter Tea Cups, Mickey’s Philharmagic (absolutely amazing), the Haunted Mansion (where Lucy kept telling us she was very proud…we think she means brave), and Pirates of the Carribean x2.
Here are the park totals for the day: 17 attractions, 2 character visits & 1 dinner with Cinderella and the Prince. Not bad for one day with two little girls and no nap. So…here is our 2nd day at WDW in pictures:
- The Amazing Cinderella Castle (at the top) Every picture we took turned out gorgeous because of the amazing sky. We’ve had perfect weather all week…little warm in the afternoons, but we are usually snoozing in our room at that time, anyway.

- Lucy on the Tomorrowland Tram in the dark. We took that ride while Ryan and Abi were on Stitch’s Great Escape. She has been a great sport when she hasn’t been able to do a ride.

- Abi with Cinderella’s Prince. Lucy would have nothing to do with him, but Abi was thrilled. At all of the character greetings, Lucy has been scare to death. We have been able to get her to stand with a few as long as Ryan is with her, but sometimes it is a flat-out NO.

- Abi & Lucy with Cinderella. This is the first character that Lucy actually went to without us asking. She was so excited to see “Abi’s favorite.” Dinner was great!! We were also greeted by Cinderella’s Stepmother (neither Girl would go near her) and the two evil Stepsisters.

- Lucy on the bus on the way back to the park. She couldn’t keep her eyes open and her head kept bobbing forward and backwards. I think, she slept most of the way back to the hotel and didn’t wake when Ryan plopped her on the bed in our room.

- Our window of our hotel room. I couldn't resist these Winnie the Pooh animals...one for each kid. The Girls lined-them up on the air conditioning unit, and they were SO cute.

So we successfully completed about half of the park. Ryan and I feel like we can check-off all of Fantasyland,Tomorrowland and Toontown; however, there have been some requests for repeats on Thursday: Carousel of Progress and Mickey’s Philharmagic, but the focus of Thursday will be Frontierland and Adventureland.
