Day 5: Epcot

Even though we are no longer on vacation, I have two days to post. So, let's see how well I can remember our vacation that happened over a week ago. Thank goodness for pictures :-)

Wednesday took us to Epcot for the day. We had two scheduled meals, so a lot had to be planned around those meals and naptime. We spent a lot of time at the Lands area. The new Nemo and Friends area was really great. They have a lot of different exhibits which starts with a ride that depicts the Finding Nemo story. Once the ride is done, you are left off with a bunch of different exhibits. They have manatees and a shark exhibit. What was really neat was the chat time with Crush (the turtle from Finding Nemo). Disney has come up with an amazing new technology where animated characters interact with the audience...it is really neat. Crush asked if anyone had any questions, and Abi raised her hand.

She said: My name is Abi. I am from Indiana, and I like to play with my toys.
He just looked at her and said: The answer is Yes.

She just thought it was so cool that she got to talk to Crush. All of the adults thought it was funny.

We rode a few rides, and then we had a character lunch in a revolving restaurant. This character meal was really special because we got to see Mickey Mouse. (Here is proof for all of you that Lucy has told that she didn't get to see Mickey.) We also saw Pluto, Chip & Dale. Lucy finally started warming up to the characters and got very excited.

We did took our naps and then went back for the evening. We spent most of our time in the area of the countries. There are a couple of rides in that area, and then we went to dinner at the Biergarten. It was neat to speak a little German, and the Girls got to dance to a Polka band. It was a lot of fun for all of us. I wish we would have spent another day at Epcot because there was a lot more we could have done. Abi was very disappointed that she didn't get to ride the Test Track because all of the Fast Passes were gone by the time we got back from our naps. Guess that will need to wait until the next visit to WDW.
